Writer's block.............forget about it

Some days you can't think of anything to write about.    Something worthy of your time to spend reading it. But today is not one of those days.  In fact, the words are flowing.  The reason is simple.  I am constantly buoyed by the selfishness and dedication of members in their efforts to make the ICD and the community a better place. It is inspiring to see the
amount time the building committee, the communications committee, the Cena organizers and workers, the golf tournament volunteers, the dance group and on and on, dedicate to
improving the lot of the ICD and delighting the members, even when many have full-time jobs or vocations.    Not asking anything in return, they work untold hours, sweating the details, making the food, working with vendors no matter what it takes to make club life better.  And when they are not doing things directly for the ICD, they are working in the name of the ICD as volunteers for a variety of charities in the community.  There are heroes everywhere, too many to be cite.  These are people of action, not complainers or prophets of doom about what restricts us but make things happen as best they can. No talk, just action.  These wonderful people are everywhere in the ICD.  Just look around.  Better still join in and feel really good about being one.
