Guy Mascolo, Lifetime Member of the ICD


Our prayers go out to the Mascolo family for the loss of Gaetano a true gentleman, a great person, an artist, an accomplished entrepreneur, a proud father, and a generous supporter of the Italian Club. Below is his published obituary.

Guy Mascolo, founder and Chairman of the Board of Toni & Guy Salons worldwide, passed on May 6, 2009, in Dallas, Texas of heart failure. Guy was the nicest person that anyone could ever meet. He loved his children so much. His life revolved around them. His passions were music, art, love to paint, Italian everything, master of pasta, and loved soccer, friends, and family. Guy is survived by his wife, Flora, son Zak, son Guy, Jr., daughter Emmanuella, and daughter Zahra. He is also survived by his four brothers: Toni, Bruno, Andrea, and Anthony. Guy was a world class hairdresser, world class family man, and was a friend to many. Guy Mascolo will be missed by his family and friends worldwide.

Visitation will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00-7:30 p.m. followed by the rosary at 7:30 p.m. in the Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 9, 2009 in the Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked friends to send donations to the American Heart Association.

Please be aware, the Club provided food for the Mascolo family and their friends. If anyone would like to contribute a donation to help defray the costs for this, it would be appreciated.

Thank you for your support and prayers for Gaetano, his wife Flora, his children and family.

Mother's Day

The Six Annual Mother's Day Celebration

Mother’s Day is a special day for honoring Mothers throughout the world, and at the Italian Club of Dallas it has become a much anticipated event. Thus, it is with pleasure, once again, that the ICD will host the Mother's Day Brunch to honor the women who contributed so much to our lives: our Moms. Come and celebrate this special day with your friends at the Italian Club on Sunday, May 10, from 11:30 until 2:30. Mothers will receive a red rose. Mimosas will be served to all adults.
