Bocce......3 Chances to Score

Bocce has become a popular game far beyond the boundaries of Italy. It's popularity and broad appeal is well understood. Regardless of age, gender or ability, bocce is an easy game to understand and play and even excel at. On the horizon are 3 dates that touch the game of bocce and touch our hearts also. Because of all the reasons I stated, bocce has been adopted by the Special Olympics as one of the sports available for Olympians to play. On Sept 16th and Sept 30th, the Special Olympics committee is asking the bocce experts, the ICD, to help qualify the players and then referee and monitor the games. You don't have to be a bocce expert or an athlete, to help in this endeavor. The rules are simple and I assure you that the day will be one of the most rewarding days of your life, one that will change you in many ways. Don't sit back and let someone else have all the fun. The ICD has been a grateful participant in this for the past 3 years and are delighted to be there again this year. I assure you will score big with some great people if you can help on either day.

So, what is the third chance to score........the third chance occurs Nov 12th...this is the date of our Fall bocce tournament. We have four flights for you to play in----men's, women only, mixed and kids under twelve. This is a kid friendly event that starts early Sunday morning and culminates in a great picnic and awards.. Every year our participation from all age groups goes up and up....this year we have added the kid's flight making the day available to all of the family. Check il ciccerone or website calendar for more info.
