A new chapter.....more to come

We opened a new chapter in the 30 year history of the Italian Club of Dallas. On Saturday, we experienced our first cooking class in our new facility. Chef Tomasso from the Grotto restaurant treated 15 lucky participants to artichoke salads, chicken cacciatore and a wonderful saffron seafood risotto. The class was peppered with advice on choice of ingredients, techniques and general Puglian words of wisdom. Each course was served with either a Suave or Primitivo wine. A wonderful surprise was the coverage of the event by the food editor of the Dallas Morning News and their staff photographer. Watch for an article about the day. The class was taught around our granite serving top.

Many thanks to Chef Tomasso for making the day so enjoyable and the Grotto for providing us his services. Watch for news about future classes.

I don't think we could have experienced a more perfect inaugural class thanks to the hard work of Mary Potter... Thanks Mary for your dedication..

Let me know what Chef's or topics you would like to see in some of our future classes. Send me an email jlaurenzi@gmail.com.
