If you missed it....you shouldn't the next time

On Sunday, members of the ICD, the Dallas Museum of Art and various friends were treated to a stunning operatic performance.   Mark Brown, the amazing tenor, performed a number of Italian operas to the crowds delight.    He did so while suffering from obvious pain of a recent back injury.   Even through the pain, the singing was fantastic for opera aficionados and rookies alike. Along with classical operas, a new operatic series created by composer Jay Walls, gave the concert a modern flavor to compare and contrast with the classics.  Thanks to Mary Webster and the ICD volunteers who worked hard to make this a realty.   The ICD, as a club, benefited greatly from this event and the associated lecture in establishing ourselves as a committed partner working with the DMA.

Note to self(and those who missed it):::  Next time there is an event where Mark Brown sings, i will be there.
