Working for fun....don't miss it
The ICD has been blessed for a long time. Blessed with great volunteers that help us attain our mission. Whether it is for Cena(great meal Mary!!!), or the Gala, or the Bocce tournament, the membership meeting or the Special Olympics, our volunteers are always there. But we have a problem, it is always the same people who help. We need to find new volunteers, new difference makers.
We know you exist and where you are. But we need for you to speak up. You know you could help but have been reluctant to step forward, watching others take the lead. You are being missed and are missing out. So, this is call for difference makers. If you can spare the time to work on projects either inside or outside the ICD,let us hear from you. 2007 will present a multitude of new opportunities to volunteer, like the Italian festa in Addison in June. But long before that, we could use you help.
If you are a long time member who has sat on the sidelines, don't miss out any longer. We know you have talents and we could use them.
If you are a new member who has been shy about volunteering, don't be. You might meet you new best friend working on an ICD project or event.
Whether you are helping inside the ICD or with some of our outreach programs, there is no way to have more fun than helping someone else, nothing more gratifying. Give it a try....
Just ask yourself the question, "When was the last time I volunteered at the ICD?"
If you can help, contact Melanie Sidwell, the ICD Volunteer coordinator at 972-213-8185 or MelanieC@elementxcreative.com. She will be delighted to hear from you.
