We all need to be like Maria

Taking time to say thanks is a part of this week. Probably though, we should try to say it more often other times of the year. As we are transitioning to a new board year, I think one person on our board deserves a few thank you-s. Maria Chobany has served our club and its members in so many ways. She has been our guiding light concerning Italian folk art both performing and crafts for over twenty five years. She has been the dedicated leader of our Italian dance group. These things alone has been of great value to our club and deserves our gratitude and admiration. But during this time, at various stints, she also found time to serve on the Board of Directors for 11 years in a variety of capacities. We owe her a great many thanks for all of these things. This note is okay. What would be better is if each of us walked up to her and told her thanks, face to face. We need to do this and she deserves to hear from us. Thank you Maria.
